Death of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh

As you may be aware, we have been notified by Buckingham Palace of the death of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh.

Chair of the Council, Cllr Ieuan Davies, will now write to Her Majesty The Queen and The Royal Family expressing deepest sympathies on behalf of members, staff and residents of Carmarthenshire.

Following national protocol, the flags have been lowered to half-mast at County Hall, Llanelli Town Hall and Ammanford Town Hall.

It is important that every member of staff carefully considers the appropriateness of any events or information due to be published during the national period of mourning. Please seek immediate advice via the Marketing and Media team before posting or scheduling any public information or hosting public or virtual events to ensure they are held in line with protocol.
