Healthy Habits Challenge

In these busy and stressful times, it is very easy to stop ensuring that our health and wellbeing is a priority. As time goes by, we believe that it can be too much effort to put ourselves first and we may start to pick up unhelpful habits.

However, looking after ourselves, our wellbeing, and our mental health does not need to be a chore!

This year, we are challenging our colleagues throughout the authority, to swap an unhelpful habit for a healthier option. These healthier routines could be as simple as going to bed early or drinking the recommended eight glasses of water for a day.

Try one or more healthier habits for a week and see how these small changes could help make a huge difference to your physical health, mental health and wellbeing. Go to our Events and Activities page for some suggestions and fill out the table provided, so you can keep track of your progress! Why not encourage a friend or colleague to do the challenge with you, so you will have support throughout the week!
