Service delivery risk assessments

In-line with government advice you should continue to work from home where you can. Where this isn’t possible or you are required to attend the workplace you must get approval from your line manager.

All Government guidance and legislation is continuously reviewed to ensure the authority is implementing all reasonable steps to maximise the safety of all employees and members of public throughout its operations.

In line with Welsh Government guidance the Managing Critical Services and Recovery Plan for Services risk assessments, which were written at the start of the pandemic, are regularly updated by our Health and Safety team:

New Covid-19 specific Risk Assessments (RA) and Safe Working Practices (SWP) which were written ahead of services re-starting were taken through the Silver and Gold command authorisation process, alongside other relevant documentation. They are constantly reviewed and updated as government guidance changes, i.e. when face coverings became a requirement.

Service specific risk assessments

Please ask your manager to view the latest version of the RA and SWP documents relating to your service, who will explain the risks and what measures have been put in place to ensure your work/workplace is Covid compliant.

Due to the documents constantly being updated we are not publishing these documents on the intranet to ensure you don’t refer to a previous (out of date) version of the document.

Health and safety at work is everyone’s responsibility so please make sure you have seen and understand the risk assessments and safe working practices for your job and workplace. If you have any concerns you should raise them with your manager as soon as possible and speak to an HR or Health & Safety Advisor if your concerns are not being dealt with.

If you have any further questions please email CE Health and Safety CEHealthandSafety@carmarthenshire.gov.uk.
