Compliance Monitoring

Compliance

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought with it the need for additional risk assessments, safe working practises as well as legal requirements services are required to work to. It is vital that these standards are reached to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of staff as well as the health and safety of members of the public and services users.

What is compliance monitoring?

Compliance monitoring is the monitoring of services to see how well they are implementing the new ways of working. It will help us ensure that services are running as they should and help to identify areas of noncompliance and ensure that internal policy and legal requirements are being met. It is important that service periodically monitor their services to avoid any non-compliance.

How will we monitor compliance?

An authority wide survey was issued to recovered activities and services that had continued working throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. The form covered areas of compliance that were key to ensuring compliance with internal policy and legal requirements. These include but are not limited to:

  • Social Distancing
  • Hand Hygiene
  • Face Coverings
  • Documentation
  • Cleaning
  • Travel Arrangements

From the responses it was possible to identify areas that would require further investigation and resources.

How will compliance be measured and monitored?

The monthly inspection form will be monitored for non-compliance trends and where required further contact will be made by the health and safety team.
Where necessary spot check visits will be undertaken by the health and safety team.
