Health & Wellbeing Peer Support Groups

As part of Carmarthenshire County Council's commitment to creating a healthy, inclusive and supportive workplace, our Health & Wellbeing Peer Support Groups provide opportunities for colleagues to connect, share experiences and support one another in a safe and respectful environment.

We currently offer:

  • LGBTQIA+ Network – A supportive network that promotes inclusion, celebrates diversity and provides opportunities for colleagues to connect and share experiences.
  • Menopause Café – An informal space where colleagues can discuss menopause and perimenopause, share experiences and access peer support.

We are also developing a Neurodiversity Peer Support Group, which will provide a supportive forum for neurodivergent colleagues and allies, helping to raise awareness, encourage understanding and promote an inclusive workplace.

Our peer support groups are open to colleagues who identify with the group, as well as those who wish to learn more and support an inclusive culture.

For any wellbeing related queries, concerns or suggestions, please get in touch with the Health and Wellbeing Team in confidence via the online contact form. You can also email us at health&wellbeing@carmarthenshire.gov.uk

Advice will be provided predominantly by telephone, email and Microsoft Teams with face to face as required.
