We are pleased to announce the launch of the Mental Health First Aid programme. The purpose of this programme is to train a network of our staff as fully qualified Adult Mental Health First Aiders. This training will equip attendees with the skills and knowledge to effectively provide initial help and support to a colleague in need. This is a vitally important project which will help us to continue supporting your mental health and wellbeing as well as raising awareness of mental health and reducing mental health stigma in the workplace.

This is a voluntary role and is open to all staff. If you are interested in finding out more about becoming a Mental Health First Aider, please visit the dedicated intranet section now. This will provide further information on the role of a Mental Health First Aider, training information, information for managers and applicants, and regularly updated FAQs. Please consider the nature of this role carefully before applying.

For any queries or to discuss the programme further, please contact the Health and Wellbeing Team via health&wellbeing@carmarthenshire.gov.uk.
