UPDATED - County Hall – maintenance works August 2025

Following discussions with our electricity provider, we have been advised that essential work to install new meters must now take place on Thursday, 14 August. This requires a full power shutdown of County Hall.

As a result, the building will be closed to all staff on both Thursday, 14 August and Friday, 15 August. While we hope to reopen on the 15 if works complete early, all staff should plan on the basis that the building will be closed for both days.

All colleagues should make arrangements to work from home or another office where possible during these two days. Normal operations will resume on Monday, 18 August.

Managers will contact directly any team members whose onsite presence is considered essential during this period.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these essential works and thank you for your continued cooperation.
