People Manager Events

People Manager Events are being held twice a year to give People Managers across the Department a chance to get together with staff and management and to encourage inter departmental working.
Following a staff survey in September 2016. Based on feedback there were a few areas that needed to be improved. These were: Communication, Appraisals and Engagement with staff.
The Departmental Management Team decided to hold the first engagement event in May 2017 where all people managers (anyone who supervised staff) were invited. At the event everyone’s views and ideas on how improvements to the communication and engagement within the Department of Communities were gathered.
Following on from the success of this first event, other similar sessions were held in November 2017, April 2018 an October 2018 with various themes being discussed at each event.
