ILM Level 2: Certificate in Team Leading

Who is it aimed at?

This qualification is designed for new and aspiring team leaders. 

What are the objectives?

Team leaders develop a firm foundation to become competent in managing people and relationships.

The qualification includes topics such developing yourself as a team leader, improving performance, planning and monitoring work. The range of learning options available includes customer service, problem solving, legal aspects, decision making and communication practices.

How will it make a difference?

It gives an in-depth introduction to a leadership role and the responsibilities of a team leader to successfully manage, motivate and develop confidence to deal with challenging issues. 

Students have access to learning materials via the college’s online supporting Google Classrooms and digital library. In addition to this they have allocated tutor support and one to one set tutorials to aid students before they submit work digitally online.

How to apply:

If you work for Carmarthenshire County Council (CCC) and are logged into a CCC device – PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone, complete this application form.

If you work for the Council but do NOT have access to a CCC device or an email address your line manager will need to apply on your behalf.

Council employees cannot apply for any courses from their own personal device.


Partners, agency staff or people who do not work for the Council cannot apply for this course.
