Who is it aimed at?
This course is designed for new middle managers who want to gain some comprehensive knowledge in business.
What are the objectives?
This course will help you to develop your technical skills to lead effectively at this level.
Learning units include:
- Leadership and understanding the management role
- Understanding and developing relationships in the workplace
- Managing personal development and implementing change
- Developing people in the workplace
- Understanding recruitment and selection
- Understanding good practice and coaching in the workplace
How will it make a difference?
The qualification focuses on managing change and implementing projects within the organisation. Learning will focus on the importance of managing change effectively and taking your team with you.
All students have access to learning materials via the college’s online supporting Google Classrooms and digital library. In addition to this they have allocated tutor support and one to one set tutorials to aid students before they submit work digitally online.

How to apply:
If you work for Carmarthenshire County Council (CCC) and are logged into a CCC device – PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone, complete this application form.
If you work for the Council but do NOT have access to a CCC device or an email address your line manager will need to apply on your behalf.
Council employees cannot apply for any courses from their own personal device.
Partners, agency staff or people who do not work for the Council cannot apply for this course.
