PROCUREMENT E-LEARNING MODULES

The Procurement Department as part of the Council's commitment to provide training to staff have identified 3 key e-learning modules that employees need to complete.

It is therefore important that you complete these modules to enhance your knowledge and skills to raise your awareness of the issues involved.

1. Introduction to Procurement (For All Budget Managers)

2. Code of Practice: Ethical Employment (For All Employees)

3. Contract Management (All officers responsible for managing contracts with a supplier(s) are expected to complete the eLearning Module)

Instructions on how to access these modules

• Please Log in by clicking the red box in the top right-hand corner of the screen
• Your username is your 7-digit employee number followed by “carm” (for example 0012345carm).
• If you have forgotten your password, the password can be re-set at the log in, please use your username to search as the email address may be case sensitive.
• Click on “Local Authorities” and choose "Carmarthenshire" from the list.
• Click on “Finance, ICT & Office Skills”.
• Click on "Finance".
• Click on “Introduction to Procurement” or “Code of Practice: Ethical Employment” or "Contract Management".

IMPORTANT

• It is important that you follow the instructions to the Carmarthenshire area carefully. If you don’t then you may find that you do a module belonging to another Authority and will not get a completion on our reports.
• There is a section on Carmarthenshire’s home page which has links to all the Key eLearning modules.
• When you use the “search” to look for a course be aware that it will bring up records from all the courses on the Learning@Wales site; so, make sure you check that the address shows Carmarthenshire County Council.
