Digital Skills Survey Results

Page updated: 19/04/2024

We conducted a Digital Skills Survey between 22 November, 2023 and 12 January, 2024 and received a total of 1092 responses, 13.1% of the workforce.

We asked a range of questions in relation to how you feel about your digital skills, and have summarised the responses for you on this page.

The survey asked questions based on the 5 strands of Essential Digital Skills (Communication, Problem solving, transacting, handling and storing data, being safe and legal online).

You shared your strengths and weaknesses in relation to digital skills and identified digital learning needs for you and your teams.

Number of survey completions. Chief Executives 105. Communities 496. Corporate Services 64. Place and Infrastructure 54. Education and Children Services 253. Schools 68. Unknown 52.

Staff were asked to rate their digital confidence form 1-10, 10 being very confident and 1 being not confident at all. The most common answer (24.6%) voted a level of 8, but we can see from the graph that there is a varied confidence level with staff.
