Sexual Harassment Staff Survey
Page updated: 20/10/2025
BACKGROUND
As a result of the new sexual harassment legislation, published 26 October 2024, employers now have a legal duty to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment and create a safe working environment.
These duties include:
• Creating a workplace free from sexual harassment by establishing policies and providing training.
• Taking swift action to address complaints and prevent incidents.
• Investigating all complaints promptly and thoroughly.
• Taking appropriate remedial action if harassment is confirmed.
• Avoiding retaliation against employees who report sexual harassment or participate in investigations
APPROACH
To assess our compliance with new sexual harassment legislation and the effectiveness of our safety measures, a staff survey was conducted during March 2025. The insights will guide improvements to ensure safe working environments for all.
A total of 1,626 staff chose to complete the survey equating to 20% of the entire workforce at the time. 29% of those that responded stated that they managed someone.
