Most of you, that responded to the survey, said that you are able to access learning opportunities in your preferred language; and, in terms developing new skills, many of you told us that you are encouraged to learn and grow and that you had been given the opportunity to do so during the last year. However, it is clear from some of the responses received, that not everyone has the same experience.
Concerns were expressed about:
You Said: Inconsistent access to learning and development opportunities.
We Listened: We are expanding our online learning and development opportunities and ensuring that they are more accessible. Last November, we hosted our first Learner Celebration event, which was a truly inspiring occasion. It showcased the incredible achievements of our staff, who continue to excel while serving our community. This event was just the beginning, and we are committed to creating even more opportunities for recognition and growth.
You Said: Limited opportunities to learn through the medium of Welsh.
We Listened: Our Learning and Development team is dedicated to further improving opportunities for you to learn through the medium of Welsh. We're ensuring all training materials are available in both Welsh and English, promoting inclusivity and cultural respect. We encourage everyone to incorporate the Welsh language in their sessions and materials. Remember, we have a Translation Unit on hand to support you.
