Suicide Prevention Day
1396 days ago
The 10th of September is Suicide Prevention Day. This year the National Suicide Prevention Association’s (NSPA) theme is ‘Creating Hope Through Action.’ Here they have encouraged individuals to share what action they take when they feel low, and what makes them feel hopeful. We would therefore like to invite you to do the same, please share with us, your tips and advice on what you do to keep yourself hopeful, and email them to: health&wellbeing@carmarthenshire.gov.uk
According to Samaritans, 5,691 people died by suicide in England and Wales in 2019, which is 321 more than the year previous. Every suicide is devastating and has a significant impact on all those surrounding them. However, by raising awareness, reducing stigma and through education, instances can be reduced. With this in mind, why not register for Ajuda’s free webinar on Suicide Prevention on the 9th of September, to learn more about how you can support.
