Voice Communications Review

Helping to shape the future of our voice communications

Digital Services is continuing its review of the Council’s voice services to ensure they remain fit for purpose, support modern ways of working and meet the needs of our services and customers.

As part of the review, we are looking at how existing telephone extension numbers and call divert arrangements are currently being used. Over the coming months, some colleagues will be contacted to confirm whether their current voice communication arrangements are still required and may be asked to provide a business justification for retaining a particular extension number or call divert.

We understand that every service has different operational needs. Any decisions will therefore be based on genuine business requirements, ensuring essential services continue to be supported while arrangements are simplified where appropriate.
