World Diabetes day

World Diabetes day celebrated this year on 14th November, is an opportunity to raise awareness of diabetes and the importance of prevention, early diagnosis, and effective management.

Diabetes affects millions of people and can have a significant impact on daily life. Whether living with Type 1, Type 2, or gestational diabetes, access to the right support, information, and healthcare services is essential.

We are committed to promoting employee wellbeing and encouraging healthy Lifestyle Advice. Small changes, such as maintaining a balanced diet, staying physically active, attending regular health checks, and understanding personal risk factors, can make a meaningful difference.

We encourage colleagues to take a moment to learn more about diabetes, support friends, family members, or colleagues who may be affected, and explore the wellbeing resources available through our organisation.

Together, we can help create a healthier, more informed workplace.

Find Support and Resources

Diabetes is often silent. Outside of your GP if you have any concerns you can get blood tests that can reveal early warning signs so you can take action before complications develop. Appointments are available with fast results and follow-up options at IGP. Discounted rated for CCC staff. You can book via: www.theigp.co.uk/ccc

If you are looking for further information on managing the condition or checking your risk, you can find a wealth of resources, posters, and dietary tips provided by the leading national charity; access downloadable guides and support resources via Diabetes Week 2026.
