Pay Award 2026 Agreed

We are pleased to confirm that agreement has now been reached on the Local Government Services pay award for 2026. Under the agreement, all eligible pay points will increase by 3.3%, with effect from 1 April 2026.
Our Payroll Team is currently making the necessary arrangements to implement the award. The revised pay rates and any back pay due from 1 April 2026 will be included in the October payroll run.
As this is a busy period for Payroll, we would be grateful if colleagues could avoid contacting the team unless they have an urgent enquiry.
If you receive income-related benefits, such as Universal Credit, please be aware that any back pay received may affect your entitlement. If you have any concerns, you should contact your Work Coach or the Universal Credit Helpline for advice.
Further information, including updated pay scales, will be available on the intranet once implementation has been completed.
