3. Legislation

3.1.  CCTV systems are subject to legislation under: 
 
•    The Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA).
•    UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). 
•    The Human Rights Act 1998 (HRA).  
•    The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).  
•    The Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (PROTECTION OF FREEDOMS ACT 2012). 
•    The Criminal Procedures and Investigations Act 1996 • The Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA). 
•    Computer Misuse Act 1990. 
•    The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
