8. Appeals
The Appeals Committee is not stipulated in the Standing Orders Regulations but again has a practical purpose in relation to the procedure. In terms of Carmarthenshire Council’s appeals panel, this will reflect the political balance and numbers of the relevant Investigating Committee. The members of the Appeals Committee should not be members of the IC. This must include one member of the Cabinet, but not more than half of the members of the committee are to be members of the Cabinet.
