IOSH Managing Safely

Who is it aimed at?

To support the health, safety and wellbeing of staff and others in their areas of responsibility, all managers should attend CCC’s IOSH Managing safely course.

What are the objectives?

Key areas covered during the four days include:

  • Provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to be able to fully undertake your health and safety roles and responsibilities.
  • Improve your understanding of the health, safety and wellbeing risks in your areas of responsibility.
  • Provide you with the skills and knowledge to effectively manage health, safety and wellbeing through the risk assessment process.
  • Provide you with the skills and knowledge you require to improve the culture of health, safety and wellbeing in your areas of responsibility.

How will it make a difference?

This nationally recognised qualification will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to manage risk effectively in your areas of responsibility and allow you to fully contribute to CCC's goal of reducing work-related accidents and illness.

How to apply:

If you work for Carmarthenshire County Council (CCC) and are logged into a CCC device – PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone, complete this application form.

If you work for the Council but do NOT have access to a CCC device or an email address your line manager will need to apply on your behalf.

Council employees cannot apply for any courses from their own personal device.


Partners, agency staff or people who do not work for the Council cannot apply for this course.
