Leading & Managing Change

Who is it aimed at?

All managers who are anticipating leading and/or managing positive change in the workplace

What are the objectives?

The learning days will deliver a mix of theory and practice which will look at the steps in the change process:

Individual Level

  • Understanding the role of bias and perception in change management
  • Using emotional awareness & resilience to help understand the change process

Team Level

  • Examine individual and group reaction to change
  • Explore leadership and management styles that facilitate positive change, including the impact of power and relationships

Organisational Level

  • Use practical tools and continuous improvement methods to support the change process
  • Using data to inform the change process

This course forms part of the Council’s Leadership Framework

Leading and Managing Change provides you with the opportunity to consider how you engage people, understand and work collaboratively to promote effective change.

How to apply:

If you work for Carmarthenshire County Council (CCC) and are logged into a CCC device – PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone, complete this application form.

If you work for the Council but do NOT have access to a CCC device or an email address your line manager will need to apply on your behalf.

Council employees cannot apply for any courses from their own personal device.


Partners, agency staff or people who do not work for the Council cannot apply for this course.
