Myers Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI) Step I – Personality Profiling

Who is it aimed at?

Individuals who are keen to explore their own personality type in the interest of developing themselves.

What are the objectives?

The MBTI instrument helps people:

  • Learn about themselves, and understand where they fit into a framework that describes personality differences in positive and constructive ways.
  • Appreciate the importance of differences between people, and understand how different types can work together in complementary ways.

The specific objectives will be agreed individually, but may include:

  • Improving working relationships
  • Developing leadership style
  • Improving communication
  • Making use of problem-solving strategies
  • Helping manage change
  • Understanding reaction to stress.

How will it make a difference?

The measure of success will depend upon the initial objectives, and should be established at the beginning of the process.

Duration:

Initially 1.5 hours, one-to-one session, with the possibility of further coaching depending upon the objective of the session.

Cost:

£95.00 (Covers cost of on-line questionnaire & supporting documentation)

How to apply:

If you work for Carmarthenshire County Council (CCC) and are logged into a CCC device – PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone, complete this application form.

If you work for the Council but do NOT have access to a CCC device or an email address your line manager will need to apply on your behalf.

Council employees cannot apply for any courses from their own personal device.


Partners, agency staff or people who do not work for the Council cannot apply for this course.
