Who is it aimed at?

Anyone considering retirement within approximately the next 6 - 12 months or taking early or flexible retirement or retiring due to ill health.

What are the objectives?

To help delegates make the transition from a working environment into retirement.

  • Raise awareness of changes in lifestyle and/or financial circumstances and the decisions that need to be made.
  • Provide the knowledge and information to enable delegates to investigate further areas of interest in their own time.
  • Encourage a more active role in planning, outside of this workshop, for longer term financial security and a healthy lifestyle in retirement through increased financial confidence and understanding.
  • An opportunity to seek independent financial advice (free, no obligation consultation on request)*

How to apply:

If you work for Carmarthenshire County Council (CCC) and are logged into a CCC device – PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone, complete this application form.

If you work for the Council but do NOT have access to a CCC device or an email address your line manager will need to apply on your behalf.

Council employees cannot apply for any courses from their own personal device.


Partners, agency staff or people who do not work for the Council cannot apply for this course.
