Principles of Reporting and Recording

Who is it aimed at?

All Children Services staff, Fostering and Adoption, TaF, Under 25s service, 3rd Sector and Independent Sector. Also, Adult Services Domiciliary and Residential staff.

What are the objectives?

By the end of the course participants will:

  • Have an increased awareness of the importance of reporting and recording
  • Understand how reporting and recording can be used to inform practice
  • Understand how to interpret and use data / information that reporting and recording can provide
  • Understand how to use reporting and recording to monitor, change and improve practice

How will it make a difference?

Delegates will have a greater confidence and capability in recording and reporting

How to apply:

If you work for Carmarthenshire County Council (CCC) and are logged into a CCC device – PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone, complete this application form.

If you work for the Council but do NOT have access to a CCC device or an email address your line manager will need to apply on your behalf.

Council employees cannot apply for any courses from their own personal device.


Partners, agency staff or people who do not work for the Council but meet the eligibility criteria to attend this course should complete this application form.
