Who is it aimed at?
DoLS Best Interest Assessors.
What are the objectives?
To provide participants with up-to-date knowledge about DoLS and offer an exploration of the implications for practice. This will include some opportunity to examine the implications of the introduction of the Liberty Protection Safeguards. It will specifically offer:
- An update of relevant case law
- A refresher on relevant regulation and guidance
- An opportunity to discuss practice issues in the light of all of the above information

Attending this training will provide participants with the knowledge needed to support lawful and effective practice.

How to apply:
If you work for Carmarthenshire County Council (CCC) and are logged into a CCC device – PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone, complete this application form.
If you work for the Council but do NOT have access to a CCC device or an email address your line manager will need to apply on your behalf.
Council employees cannot apply for any courses from their own personal device.
Partners, agency staff or people who do not work for the Council cannot apply for this course.
