Summer 2024 Work Experience

The applications for Summer Work Experience has now come to a close. Thank you to all Managers that have welcomed work experience this year. We have more than doubled the experiences compared to last year with a total of 13 placed.

Robert M Evans and Vivian Phillips have welcomed 6 Engineering placements this summer, Engineering for the second year in a row has been our most popular request!

Flood Defence has also been a popular request with 3 placed so far, a huge thank you to Ben Kathrens, Cath L Abbott & Kieron P McCullar who have welcomed these placements. Above are images of 2 pupils enjoying the Natural Flood Management works in Ammanford.

The Planning Ecology, Digital Systems Transformation, Countryside Access and Design have all welcomed placements. 

Offering work experience is important for us as a local authority as it can support community development and ensures a skilled future workforce for future public services. Experiences also provides practical skills, industry knowledge that could lead to future employment for CCC.
