Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) is now open to all staff with an existing Carmarthenshire County Council e-mail address!

BYOD allows you to access work data securely from your personal mobile device (Apple or Android). This data is accessed from a variety of Microsoft Apps, which can be downloaded from your App Store, these include Outlook, OneDrive, Sharepoint, Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Teams.

To make use of BYOD on your personal device, your line manager will have to make a request via this online form. BYOD may not be suitable for all staff, and approval will be at the discretion of your Head of Service.

Please note: All BYOD users are automatically enrolled in an additional security feature called Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This means that we add an extra verification step to make sure that you are who you say you are! We have created a step-by-step guide to take you through this process.
