Compassionate Leadership
Who is it aimed at?
All Children Services managers, Assistant managers, including residential and respite services, and 3rd/Independent Sector
What are the objectives?
By the end of the training participants will have:
- Explored what Compassionate Leadership is and be confident in applying it to their practice
- Explored the skills of consistent listening , understanding , empathising and helping within management and leadership
- Explored psychological safety as a way of working for themselves and the staff they manage
- Explored the links between compassionate leadership , positive psychology and mindfulness
- Explored the role of reflection in supporting their compassionate leadership
Participants will be encouraged to develop some reflections on compassionate leadership which will be used as learning tools within the second half of the training

How to apply:
If you work for Carmarthenshire County Council (CCC) and are logged into a CCC device – PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone, complete this application form.
If you work for the Council but do NOT have access to a CCC device or an email address your line manager will need to apply on your behalf.
Council employees cannot apply for any courses from their own personal device.
Partners, agency staff or people who do not work for the Council but meet the eligibility criteria to attend this course should complete this application form.
