Transformation – Our Vision
‘To deliver substantial and rapid internal change over a 5-year period which will allow the Council to successfully deliver its aims and objectives as set out within its Corporate Strategy.’
Our Transformation programme is an ambitious and exciting programme of work aimed at continuing to modernise and improve the way in which we support our aim of delivery high quality and efficient services, achieving the very best outcomes with the resources available.
It's aim to allow the Council to:
- Be a modern, innovative, and dynamic organisation.
- Achieve a sustainable financial future.
- Develop a skilled and flexible workforce and become an ‘Employer of Choice’.
- Deliver more purposeful, high-quality services to meet customer needs at reduced cost to the Council.
The Council Transformation Strategy provides the strategic framework for the delivery of this programme and is aimed at creating the internal change to support to deliver on the aims and objectives set out within its Corporate Strategy.
Transformation Programme Overview
The main aim of the Transformation Strategy is ‘to provide a strategic framework to underpin a programme of significant organisational change that will support the Council in achieving its wider aims and objectives as set out within its Corporate Strategy’.
The Strategy encompasses eight thematic priorities. Eight Workstreams oversee a programme of work aimed at helping to deliver on these thematic priorities.
A Transformation Board, chaired by the Chief Executive, meets on a quarterly basis to monitor progress and the delivery of the Transformation Programme.
The Transformation Team helps coordinate the work of the thematic workstreams and provides the capacity to help implement transformation and change activities across the Council.
