We hope that the following information will answer some of your queries, however if you have any further questions, please email them to health&wellbeing@carmarthenshire.gov.uk.

Your allocated 1-hour a week Health & Wellbeing Champions role should be incorporated alongside your current working hours.

It is not essential that you have a background in health & wellbeing or prior training to become a Health & Wellbeing Champion. However, we would strongly advise that you attend the initial mandatory training/refresher sessions as well as the monthly update session. This will provide an important overview of some key wellbeing updates, as well as give you an opportunity to see what other Champions are doing and share good practice.

If at any point during or after the training you decide this role is not for you, it is advised that you get in touch with our Health & Wellbeing Co-ordinators to discuss this further. This is a voluntary role so if you feel that it is not for you, you will be able to step down from your duties at any time

If you feel that you require additional support and would like to talk to someone, there are several options for you. Please get in touch with either one of your fellow Champions via the Teams channel or contact the Health & Wellbeing Co-ordinators via Health&Wellbeing@carmarthenshire.gov.uk

Once you have completed your training, you will be asked to provide a short personal profile to be included on our Health & Wellbeing Champion intranet page. Here, employees will be able to find out who our Health & Wellbeing Champions are and how to contact them.

You will also have the option to download a Health & Wellbeing Champion signature to let colleagues know you are happy to support them.
