Information for Applicants
Thank you for your interest in becoming a Health & Wellbeing Champion. The information below should provide you with a clear overview of the process and timeline to becoming a Health & Wellbeing Champion.
The first step of the process will be to fill out this Expression of Intrest Form and ensure you understand the Role of a Health & Wellbeing Champion.
Once you have submitted your application, you will need to notify and email your Line Manager and let them know of your interest in becoming a Health & Wellbeing Champion. If they approve, your manager should email Health&Wellbeing@carmarthenshire.gov.uk with confirmation that they are happy for you to become a Health & Wellbeing Champion. Once this email has been received, you will be sent a link to the next Health & Wellbeing Champion Training session and invited to the Health & Wellbeing Champions Teams channel.
The mandatory training will be conducted by our Health & Wellbeing Co-ordinators via Teams. This will be a 3 hours session in which you will be taken through the role of the Health & Wellbeing Champion in detail. If you cannot make this training session, please let us know as there will be a 'mop-up' session available (depending on numbers).
Once the training is complete, you will be asked to send in a photo of yourself for our Intranet page, and we would ask for you to add a Health & Wellbeing Champion branding to your e-mail signature.
Every 1st of the month, we hold regular update meetings, they are informal and relaxed (feel free to make yourself a hot drink!) The update meetings are a safe-space where you are encouraged to join and share your ideas and any events/activities you have organised. There's no such thing as a bad idea!
Refresher Training for current Health & Wellbeing Champions will be held annually.
