Reflecting what we need now and for the future…

  • We reviewed: Our Core Values, existing job profiles, Code of Professional Practice for Social Care Workers.
  • We included key priorities from the Corporate Strategy: Welsh Language & Culture, Decarbonisation & climate emergency, Organisational Transformation, Equality & Inclusion
  • We then created Our Behaviours: With clear, positive descriptions, themed against our 6 core values, simplified into 20 behaviours, organised into 3 different levels
  • We consulted teams in different departments: To check the content of the framework is useful and clear, working with teams to test the framework in practice.
  • We then updated and finalised: Our Core Values and Behaviours Framework

What we do in delivering Council services includes:
