Interpreter translation in Microsoft Teams
Page updated: 16/05/2024
Microsoft Teams meetings now allow the inclusion of a simultaneous translator, which will be able to translate language in the meeting in real time, without disrupting the speaker's presentation.
Once decided on a date for a meeting, you will need to ensure that an interpreter is available to attend. Make sure you contact the translation team to arrange an interpreter for your meeting. When the translation unit has confirmed your translator, you will be able to invite and assign the translator before the meeting.
This guide aims to take you through what you need to do when setting up a meeting, assigning an interpreter and how the attendees of meetings can use the interpret button.
